The Notes tab in the object's property editor lets you view history information and view or edit user notes. In this tab, you can enter text for documentation purposes in the Notes area; the History area tracks changes made to the object on various events in the model. The following events are tracked in this tab:
To edit user notes or view object history
Lets you sort the events on one of the following options:
Specifies to sort the list in the ascending order (old to new) of the creation date.
Specifies to sort the list in the descending order (new to old) of the creation date.
Specifies to sort the list in the ascending order (old to new) of the modification date.
Specifies to sort the list in the descending order (new to old) of the modification date.
Enables the four options related to moving notes.
Lets you specify how to filter the list using the following options:
Specifies to show all events.
Specifies to show only history events.
Specifies to show only notes.
Opens the Notes editor for the object so you can enter a new user note.
Deletes the selected item.
Specifies to reset property inheritance for the selected item and lets you restore all the deleted notes. This option is available only in the Column Editor dialog.
Note: The following four options related to moving the item are available only when you select Note Order for Sort Items.
Moves the selected item to the top of the list.
Moves the selected item up one position in the list.
Moves the selected item down one position in the list.
Moves the selected item to the bottom of the list.
Opens the Notes editor so you can edit note text for an event or existing user note.
Displays the event for the object.
Displays the status of the comment in the form of icon. The status can be inherited () or overridden (
). This option is available only in the Column Editor dialog.
Displays the text of the user note.
Migrates the note from the parent column if this check box is selected in the parent column. For example, suppose in a table named User, you added a note to the column User_ID and have selected the Migrate check box. When you use User_ID as a foreign key in another table, the note is displayed. This option is available only in the Column Editor dialog.
Displays when the event was created.
Displays the user that created the event.
Displays the user that last modified the event.
The property editor closes.
