Define the General Outline Options

You use the General Outline Editor dialog to define the options for outlines in a diagram in the following scenarios:

To define general outline options

  1. Click Themes on the View menu.

    The Theme Editor opens.

  2. Select a theme other than the Default and Classic themes and then navigate to the Default tab.
  3. Click Theme Editor Default Outline Tool in the Outline Options field.

    The General Outline Editor dialog opens.

  4. Work with the following options:
    Outline Style

    Specifies the outline style. Select a continuous or dotted line from the drop-down list.

    Color

    Specifies the color of the outline. Click Theme Editor Fill Color to open the color grid and select a color of your choice.

    Line Width

    Specifies the width of the outline. Enter a number or use the arrow icons to increase or decrease the default number.

    Curve Style

    Specifies the style at the four corners of the outline. Select from the drop-down list; valid values are Straight, Cardinal, and Bezier.

    Curve Tension

    Specifies the tension of the curves of the outline. Tension determines how much the curve can bend. Enter a number.

    Dash Cap Style

    Specifies the outline style for a dotted line. Select from the drop-down list; valid values are Flat and Round.

  5. Click Close.

    The General Outline Editor closes.
