Create a Toolbar

You can create a new toolbar in the CA ERwin Data Modeler workplace, and populate it with the icons most relevant to your work.

To create a toolbar

1. Click Customize on the Tools menu.

   The Customize dialog opens.

   

2. On the Toolbars tab, click New.

   The New Toolbar popup dialog opens.

   

3. Enter the name for your new toolbar in the text box. This text displays in the title bar for the new toolbar, when you select to undock the toolbar in the CA ERwin Data Modeler workplace. Click OK.

   Your new toolbar name appears in the list of toolbars in the Customize dialog.

4. Select the toolbar name, then click the Commands tab.
5. Select a category, and drag the command icon out of the dialog to your new toolbar.

   Your new toolbar is populated with the commands you choose.

Note: Another approach to using this functionality is to customize an existing toolbar. For example, to remove icons related to functionality you do not frequently use. You can also hide a toolbar using the option on the View, Toolbars menu.
