Create Query Options for a Materialized Query Table

You can use the Query Options tab in the Materialized Query Tables editor to specify query options for a selected materialized query table.

To create query options for a materialized query table

1. Click Materialized Query Tables on the Model menu in a physical model based on DB2.

   The Materialized Query Table Editor opens.

2. Click the Query Options tab and work with the following options:

   Maintained By

   Specifies whether the data in the materialized query table is maintained by the system, user, or federated tool. Select an option from the drop-down menu.

   Refresh Deferred

   Specifies that the materialized query table is a REFERSH DEFERRED table. The check box is automatically selected when you select a maintained by option.

   Is Query Optimization Disabled

   Indicates whether or not query optimization is enabled. Select true or false from the drop-down list.

3. Click Close.

   Your changes are saved and the Materialized Query Table Editor closes.
