Create Distribution Options for a Materialized Query Table

You can use the Distribution tab in the Materialized Query Tables editor to specify distribution options for a selected materialized query table.

To create distribution options for a materialized query table

1. Click Materialized Query Tables on the Model menu in a physical model based on DB2.

   The Materialized Query Table Editor opens.

2. Click the Distribution tab and work with the following options:

   Distribute By

   Specifies the distribution method. Select Hash or Replication from the drop-down list.

   Distribution key Columns

   When you select Distribute by Hash, you can work with the listed key columns.

3. Click Close.

   Your changes are saved and the Materialized Query Table Editor closes.
