Override Default Data Type Mapping
After data types are converted and mapped, you can use either the default data types and mapping or you can use the Insert New Mapping feature to override the defaults and add customized data type mapping requirements. You override the default data type mapping in the Data Type Standards Editor:
- Specify the rules for each scenario in which default data types can be assigned.
- Select a source and target DBMS, and then the default data types for the target DBMS appear.
- Accept or change the default data types, or add new data types.
