This step is for all new and upgrade CA Dispatch installations. The MVS auto commands file must be updated to execute CAIRIM.
The MVS auto commands are found in SYS1.PARMLIB in the member COMMNDxx (MVS Commands). The default member name is COMMND00. However, you or one of your systems programmers may have set up the system to use an alternate COMMND member. If this is the case, CAIRIM must be added to the COMMND member that is in use for your normal system IPL. In some cases, multiple members may be concatenated for processing. If this is the case, it does not matter which of the members contains the command. The command is coded in standard MVS command member format, starting in column 1 as follows:
COM='START CAS9 CAI RESOURCE INITIALIZATION MANAGER'
Note: CAIRIM may have been previously installed in your system for another CA product. If this is so, proceed to the next step.
