Step 9. Install the CAIENF Interface

This step is for all new CA Dispatch installations and existing installations that are newly installing CCS r12.

The CA Dispatch STATUS function uses the CAIENF Event Notification Facility.

To use this functionality, CAIENF must be updated to define CA Dispatch as a user of this facility and to define new Events that will be used exclusively by CA Dispatch.

By default, CA Dispatch will pick up the following events:

Event	Description
JOBINIT	Used by the Abend Handling process
STEPTERM	Used by the Abend Handling process
JOBTERM	Used by the Abend Handling process
JOBPRINT	Used by the Bundle Print Time process
DISP144	Used to log the PC Download process
DISP145	Used to log the Bar Code process
DISP146	Used to record the information on the NJE jobs

Jobs that can be run to install, define and optionally customize the events that CA Dispatch will process:

JOBINIT, STEPTERM, JOBTERM, and JOBPRINT are common Events that come standard with CAIENF.
DISP144, DISP145, and DISP146 are Events that are installed and used exclusively by CA Dispatch.
