Start the Tasks

For CA Dispatch and CADDSPL to function properly, start the system in the following order:

  1. Start ENF and wait for it to initialize completely.
  2. Start CADDSPL by starting CADDSPLx and waiting for it to initialize completely.
  3. Start CA Dispatch.

Important! Before you start your system, be sure that the job DSEXJNL1 has been tailored and be certain that it does not have JCL errors.

If CAIRIM has not been executed prior to the Initialize the System step, CA Dispatch will have been automatically started through the CAIRIM Auto Commands function. If CAIRIM has been run previously, the Auto Commands will not be issued.

You can use the following console command to start CA Dispatch:

START CADSDISP

You can also execute CA Dispatch as a batch job. To do so, submit the member DSEXDISP in the CADSJCL library (which has already been tailored). When you see the Enter Next Task Code prompt, the system is ready.

Post Installation Considerations

Now that you have successfully installed CA Dispatch, you should consider reviewing the Systems Programmer Guide for information about tuning CA Dispatch for optimal performance.
