Considerations for Tailoring the Execution JCL

Be aware of the following:

• Later in the install you will need to enter both the one character CADDSPLx Task Suffix assigned in this step and the name of the Root LDS file on the Sysgen Control Information Screen (VSGMU110). This is done to assign or link the CA Dispatch task to an associated CADDSPL task. See the Test and Validate step.
• The CADZSPLx procedure can reference a member of a library or a sequential file which contains a set of CADDSPL operator commands via an optional SPLCMD DD card. These commands will be executed during the start up of the CADZSPLx STC.

  A sample of this set is:

  S RPI1,SAPI
  S RPI2
  P RPI3
  P MSG
  S ARCH
  STAT,X.
  

• For sites using ABEND-AID:

  Disable ABEND-AID processing for all CA Dispatch regions including external distributions, archive, and extract. To do this, insert a DD statement in the CA Dispatch as:

  	//ABNLIGNR DD DUMMY
  

  This DD statement has been included in procs CADSDISP, CADSXTEX, CADSXTAR, CADDSPLx, CADZSPLx, and CADZSAPx.

Start CA Dispatch

At this point CADSLOAD should be an authorized library and CADSPROC should be a system recognized PROC library, or the CAS9 PROC should have been copied into one of your system PROCLIBs. If necessary, IPL your system to install the libraries.

If it is not necessary to IPL, tailor JCL member DSEXSTRT from the CADSJCL library and submit. This job will execute the CAS9 Proc (CAIRIM) to initialize the system for CA Dispatch.

Note: All CA Dispatch systems should be inactive when DSEXSTRT is run.
