For CA IDMS high security, primarily DCMT commands

254

For DCUF Commands

For example, if a user is to have the authority to update report distribution information, the user must be assigned the security codes 2, 51, and 52. If they are also allowed to change related Sysgen information, they will also need to be assigned code 58. If they are only allowed to update report status information, they must be assigned security codes 2, 51, and 53.

Note: To modify a user's security codes, first delete the user; modify the security codes, then re-add the user with the new security codes.

After making the necessary modifications to the above members, tailor CADSJCL member DSEXUSR1 (CA IDMS batch sysgen). Once complete, submit the DSEXUSR1 job and review the output to ensure that it executed properly (a return code of 04 or less is valid).

Any time there are changes to the CA IDMS environment (such as new users or new passwords), this job and associated data can be re-executed. Be sure to retain it for future use.

Note: If you want to utilize security codes for your own purposes in the security exit, use a number between 150 and 240.
