Step 5. Define Users and the Network

This step is for the following installation situations:

• This step is for new installations of CA Dispatch.
• Skip this step if you are upgrading from CA Dispatch because system user information already exists in your current CA Dispatch library.
• Do not skip this step if you are changing your CV number (see the System section below).

Note: If you are using internal security, users are copied over without passwords.

CADSJCL member DSEXUSR1 is used to define the system network to define users (optional) if internal security is being used.This JCL causes a batch sysgen of the CA IDMS system to take place.You must make several changes to the sysgen parameters that are contained in the CADSOPTN library.

The three definition areas include System, Network, and Users (optional). The following notes pertain to those particular instructions that you may need to modify.

Note:

• The SYSTEM statement must be the first statement.
• Each statement must end in a period.
