Reason:
You replied y to the 4474 message. CADisk has been retrying the open every 5 seconds. Every twelve tries (roughly every minute), this message will be displayed to indicate CADisk is still retrying. In this mode, the optional clause PRESS ATTN KEY TO STOP RETRYING is present. If you press the ATTN key, this message will be displayed simply as DATABASE IS STILL UNAVAILABLE and you will have the option of ending the retry attempts or resuming them when message 4474 is presented again.
