Reason:

This informational message is issued during prescan processing in an SMS environment. Prior to any IXMAINT processing of DSNINDEX records, a prescan is done on the DSNINDEX subfile identifying those DSNINDEX records that are:

• SMS (Have a Management Class)
• Backups (not scratched at archive time)
• The last backup copy.

A table is built containing these records and used in IXMAINT when it is important to know about these types of records.

Note: This prescan in not performed in a non-SMS environment.
