Reason:
A GDS is being restored or recovered, but the catalog status information was not in the DSNINDEX record. The GDG status information is used to determine whether an SMS GDS should be rolled in, or remain in deferred status.
If the original status was DEFERRED or ROLLED-OFF, it will normally remain in DEFERRED status and M3729 will be issued with a RC of 2 from the job step. This return code alerts the user to perform any necessary catalog action. User Exit GDGCATEX can also be used to force the catalog action, if wanted.
When this message is issued, the GDG status will default to ACTIVE for (ddd), because the original status is unknown.
