RESTORE FROM FORMAT-2 ARCHIVED PDS TO PRE-ALLOCATED PDSE NOT SUPPORTED

Reason:

When restoring an archived PDS to a preallocated PDSE, the archive format of the archived PDS prevented CADisk from restoring it. Processing for this archived data set is terminated, but processing of other archived data sets will continue.

The source data set was archived prior to release 7.7 using DASD EXCP archive.

Action:

Either of the following Action's can be used to achieve conversion:

• Restore the archived data set (without a preallocated PDSE as target) and run CADisk COPY NEWNAME=.
• Restore the archived data set (without a preallocated PDSE as target), archive it again, and restore the newly archived PDS to the preallocated PDSE.
