Reason:
To protect the CADisk Files Data Set in a shared DASD environment, the RESERVE macro is used to encompass all updates. The installation option to suppress the RESERVES for the function in progress introduces an integrity exposure. Any file updates made concurrently from another CPU may damage the Files Data Set and lead to unpredictable results.
