Allocation failed for PDS (ddd) on volume (vvv) during PDS Compress copy-back. The allocation amounts were calculated by one of the following:
This type of allocation failure can usually be attributed to fragmented free space on the target volume.
A new primary allocation amount will be calculated, based on the volume's free space extents. The secondary allocation amount is then adjusted to compensate for the new primary amount. The directory block allocation will be checked to ensure that all directory blocks requested will fit into the first extent. If the number of directory blocks requested will not fit into the first extent, the allocation will be adjusted so that the number requested will equal the maximum allowed or the maximum required, whichever is larger. If the adjusted allocation amounts cannot be satisfied and this allocation fails as well, CADisk will then attempt to allocate the PDS using its original allocation amounts.
