The Filters dialog helps you include or exclude files that you want to migrate.
The following fields appear on the dialog:
Specifies that the files and folders that match the criteria specified on the dialog are included in the DNA file.
Specifies that the files and folders that match the criteria specified on the dialog are excluded from the DNA file.
Includes options to let you specify matching criteria for files or folders. The following fields appear on the tab:
Specifies that the matching criteria you specify on the Name and Type, Date and Size, and Locations tab applies to folders.
Specifies that the matching criteria you specify on the Name and Type, Date and Size, and Locations tab applies to files.
Specifies characters that you want to match. You can use the following wild cards:
Adds the characters in the Named field to the Criteria list.
Opens the Add Extension dialog that lets you choose from a list of common file extensions. The extensions are added to the Criteria list. (Applies to files only.)
Removes a selected item from the Criteria list.
Specifies that the matching criteria can include supported CA DMM environment variables.
Includes options to let you specify date criteria (applies to files and folders), and file size criteria (applies to files only). The following fields appear on the tab:
Specifies that the no date criteria is used; only file size criteria is used.
Lets you select whether the criteria applies to the following:
Lets you specify a file size in kilobytes (KB). You can specify a minimum file size (at least) or a maximum file size (at most).
Includes options that let you specify matching criteria for folders and subfolders. The following fields appear on the tab:
Specifies the name of the folder.
Opens a dialog that lets you select a folder.
Indicates whether you want to include the subfolders within the specified folder in the matching criteria.
Indicates whether you want to migrate just the files and folders that matched the criteria (unchecked) or whether you want to migrate everything located in the folder where the matching items were found (checked).
Lets you identify folders and subfolders that you do not want CA DMM to search. The folders you add appear in the Omitted Folders list.
Assembles the information you specified on the tabs, creates a filter description, activates it (checks the box to the left of the filter description), and displays it in the Filters list in the lower portion of the dialog.
Saves the changes to a filter that you have modified to the Filters list.
Removes data from all fields in the tabbed portion of the dialog while you are creating a filter. You can only clear fields before you click Create Filter.
Lets you specify a list of folders that you always want to omit from any filter search. The folders and subfolders you identify are not saved in the Filters table, so you must click Always Omit to view these folders.
Displays a list of filters. When checked, the filter is active. When unchecked the filter is not active.
Lets you change the criteria for a selected filter.
Deletes a selected filter from the Filters list.
Deleted all filters from the Filters list.
Performs a test of the matching criteria for all of the active filters in the Filters list.
Note: For disk-to-disk migration, file search is performed on the slave disk.
Stops an active search initiated by clicking Find Files.
Display a list of the files located during the test of the filter matching criteria.
