If the Store and Apply NTFS security options are set to True in the DMM Options file, the appropriate file and folder security is migrated with the files and folders for the selected users. The store and apply NTFS security options are set to False by default.
The migration of NTFS security is associated with the users selected for migration whether the user is selected in the DMM user interface, through a template file, or from the user command line.
Note: NTFS security is migrated for files and folders no matter where they are selected in the Select Files and Folders section of the user interface, with a filter, or in the template. As long as the Store NTFS security information and Apply file and folder permissions options are set to true in the DMM Options file, the NTFS security information will be migrated for all files and folders.
