Prerequisite to Run the Encryption Key Recovery Command

To recover a password or FIPS key, you must run the encryption key recovery command. The prerequisite for running the encryption key recovery command is that the recoverable DNA (or SE) file must be available. Thus, make sure that you already have the recoverable DNA (or SE) file (for which you want to retrieve the password) before you try to use this command.

Note: You cannot run the encryption key recovery command on a non-recoverable DNA (or SE) file.
