Template Selection

You must identify a template file to use for the migrations. You can use the default template file included with DMM Director or you can specify a specific template file that you have created.

To specify the template selection

  1. Select how templates are associated with the migration:

Director Setup automatically copies the default template into the Migration directory. The default template contains the following:

    • Desktop settings: Background, keyboard, mouse, screen saver, and My Documents.
    • Application settings: Internet Explorer, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office Shortcut Bar, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Word, Norton Anti-Virus, and WinZip.
    Use the following template

Defines a file path and name for the location of the template file you want to use for your migrations. You can browse to a location on your network, or enter the path directly.

Director Setup automatically copies the specified template into the Migration directory.

Note: You can also launch the DMM Template Editor to create and save a template, then return to the Director Setup to enter the path and template name. If the DMM Template Editor is not installed on the computer, an error dialog box appears.

  2. Click Next.
