Migration File Settings for the Select Migration Type and FIPS Mode Page

The selection you make on the Select Migration Type and FIPS Mode page sets the following options in the migration (.dmx) file located in the DirectorMigration\Source and DirectorMigration\Destination folders:

Deferred migration: Operation option is set differently for the source and destination. The source migration file is set to CreateDNAFile. The destination migration file is set to OpenDNAFile.

Real-time migration: Operation option is set differently for the source and destination. The source migration file is set to NetworkSource. The destination migration file is set to NetworkDestination.

Migration Type

Deferred migration: DNAFile contains the path to the Data directory.

Real-time migration: Option is blank.

AskUserDialog

Migration Type and Deferred Migration

If the migration type is Deferred, and the Ask the user to enter a name for the folder based on the following prompt is selected on the Deferred Migration page, the AskUserDialog option is set to the text you input for the prompt.

AskUserVariable

Migration Type and Deferred Migration

Deferred migration: If deferred migration and Ask the user to enter a name for the folder based on the following prompt is selected on the Deferred Migration page, the AskUserVariable option is set to UserDefined.

Real-time migration: Option is blank.

ExitWhenDoneAlways

Deferred migration: Set to true (1)

Real-time migration: Set to false (0) in the destination migration file.
