Perform Migration Using the Command Line Interface

CA Technologies Merger and Acquisition Tool supports a command line interface that lets you invoke the application and perform the migration.

Note: You cannot specify user profiles using the command line interface.

To perform a domain migration

1. Open the DMM Template Editor from Start, Programs, CA, Desktop Migration Manager, Migration Toolkit.

   The DMM Template Editor opens.

2. Select Merger & Acquisition Template, and click OK.
3. Select the user profiles to migrate.

   Note: For more information about defining the settings, see the DMM Template Editor Help.

4. Click File, Save.

   The Save As dialog opens.

5. Enter the name of the MA Config file, and click Save.

   Note: Do not change the default file name extension (.dtf).

   The file is saved with the given settings.

6. Open the command line from a shortcut, or from the Start menu's Run command.

   The command line appears.

7. Enter the MA Config file path along with the required command line switches as follows:

   MAEnterprise.exe /JD <Destination Domain Name> /JU <user name> /JP <password> /UD <Source Domain Name> /UU <user name> /UP <password> /C <Template File> /M
   

   The domain information is migrated.
