Command Line Switches

The following list describes the command line switches, syntax, and rules for use.

/C[ONFIGFILE] <File Path>

Specifies the MA configuration file.

Required Switches: /JD

/C[URRENT]S[TATE]

Starts the migration from a specific state. For internal use only.

/H[ELP] or /? [Name or abbreviation]

Displays this dialog with help on all arguments or just the argument given by the name or abbreviation [sans /].

/J[OIN]D[OMAIN] <Destination>

Joins the computer to the specified domain. Must provide credentials to be used to join to the domain using /JU and /JP.

Required Switches: /JU and /JP

/J[OIN]P[ASSWORD] <Password>

Specifies the password to join the computer to the new domain.

Required Switches: /JU

/J[OIN]U[SER] <User>

Specifies the user with the privileges to add the computer to the new domain.

Required Switches: /JD

/M[ACHINE]N[AME] <Machine name>

Specifies the new computer name to be used before adding to the new domain.

Required Switches: /JD

/M[IGRATE]

Starts the migration.

Required Switches: /JD

/O[PTIONSFILE] <File Path>

Specifies the MA options file.

/O[UTLOOK]S[ERVER] <Server Name>

Specifies the MS Outlook server name to use.

Required Switches: /JD

/U[NJOIN]D[OMAIN] <Source>

Removes the computer from the specified domain. Must provide credentials to be used to remove from the domain using /UU and /UP.

Required Switches: /UU and /UP

/U[NJOIN]P[ASSWORD] <Password>

Specifies the password to remove the computer from the old domain.

Required Switches: /UD, /UU

/U[NJOIN]U[SER] <User>

Specifies the user with the privileges to remove the computer from the old domain.

Required Switches: /UD
