Apply Settings or Files

After you select one of the views, you can apply a selected file, folder, registry or INI setting or environment variable directly from DMM Explorer. By applying items directly from DMM Explorer, you can quickly and easily apply a specific version of a selected item, enabling you to roll back a configuration to a selected point in time.

To apply a selected item

1. Open a DNA file.
2. Right-click an item (such as a folder or file; registry key or value, INI file, or environment variable) and click Apply or Apply To as follows:

   Apply

   Saves the selected item to the original location.

   Apply to

   Redirects the selected item to a new location on the system. The fields in the Apply To dialog vary depending on the item you select.

3. Specify where you want the item saved on the system, and click OK.

   The selected item is applied to the specified location.
