How the Create a DNA File Process Works

CA DMM uses a wizard to help you create a DNA file to store your computer's information. The process is as follows:

  1. Select a DMM task on the Start tab, such as Create.
  2. Select Settings on the Settings tab, such as the following:
  3. Select destination options on the Destination tab, such as the directory where you want to save the DNA file.
  4. Start the migration on the Migrate tab.
  5. Review the success of the migration using logs on the Logs tab.

Note: On any wizard page, click Next to move to the next page; click Back to return to the previous page; or click Help to display help for the page.
