Real-Time Migrations

Performing a real-time migration is considered best practice where one or more of the following situations exist:

• Two separate systems are involved and both exist on a common network.
• Two systems are involved and they can be connected directly to each other with a crossover cable.
• Two systems can have different hardware and operating systems.

  This method is the best solution when you are refreshing hardware and/or moving to a new operating system and/or applications.
