Concatenated Keys and Shared Key IDs

CA-DATACOM/DB keys can be defined by concatenating fields to provide increased data access flexibility. Concatenated fields need not be contiguous in the record. CA-Datamacs/II will fully support the use of concatenated keys to retrieve and store records.

Shared keys have the same DATACOM-ID, although they may reside in different tables and have different lengths. CA-Datamacs/II will not support the generic table access using shared keys until a later release.
