Overview

The CA-Datamacs/II CA-DATACOM/DB batch interface is designed to populate a CA-DATACOM/DB database with tables for use in database structure evaluation, program design, or regression testing. Generally, test data originates from two sources; from 'scratch', or from an existing file or database.

Existing CA-DATACOM/DB tables may be selected:

• By a known key value
• By key ranges
• Sequentially
• By conditionally testing non-key field values
• Relationally (EQUI-JOIN)
• By data uniqueness (for example, 1 each of every product code).
