Detecting Signed, Encrypted, and DRM-protected Emails

Using new Message Attribute data lookup variables, policy triggers can detect e-mails that are DRM-protected, digitally signed, or encrypted.

Although e-mail triggers already include Encryption and Digital Signature filters, the new data lookup variables enable policy authors to apply more sophisticated analysis and exemptions when processing e-mails with protected content.

Note: In the current release, CA DataMinder can only detect DRM-protected e-mails that have been encrypted using Microsoft Windows Rights Management Services (RMS). RMS technology is typically used to restrict the ways in which employees can use corporate e-mails, Word documents, and Web pages.
