CA Data Protection can search the text content of documents archived inside a zip file. However, the compressed and recursive nature of zip files requires special handling in order to alleviate processing delays. You can optimize zip file handling by editing settings in the user policy.
Note: A zip file is any archive of one or more compressed files. These include files created with compression tools such as WinZip® and gzip.
