Host Machine Requirements

The following are requirements for host machines:

Base Machine and FSA Machine

Operating System

CA Data Protection FastStart supports 32-bit versions of these operating systems:

• Windows Server 2008

CA Data Protection FastStart supports 64-bit versions of these operating systems:

• Windows Server 2008
• Windows Server 2008 R2
• Windows Server 2012
• Windows Server 2012 R2

Windows Installer

Windows Installer 2.0 or later

Base Machine only

Disk space

20 GB Ultra ATA or SCSI

This storage estimate covers the CA Data Protection infrastructure, consoles and captured data (based on typical usage rates). The Base machine needs sufficient free disk space to store data captured on all CA Data Protection computers.

Web service

The Base machine requires:

• Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
• Net Framework 2.0

iConsole Browser Machines

The iConsole homepage now uses Sencha Ext JS to create charts. In previous releases, the iConsole used Adobe Flash.
