Apply Hotfixes and Service Packs
To apply hotfixes and service packs to a Clustered CMS
- Verify that you set the CA Data Protection infrastructure resource to 'If resource fails, do not restart' .
- Apply the hotfix or service pack to node 1.
- Move CA Data Protection to next cluster node.
Important: During installation of Hotfixes or Service Packs, isolate both nodes from child machines in order to prevent data corruption.
- Apply the hotfix or service pack to the next cluster node.
- Open the properties of the CA Data Protection Infrastructure resource and set the policies according to your failover strategy.
