2. Install Your License File

After installing CA DLP, the default license unlocks the CA DLP policy modules available to your organization and allows you to test CA DLP. However, the default license restricts the number of users, user groups, gateway servers and endpoint machines.

After you install or upgrade CA DLP, or when your testing is complete, you need to install a full license before you can deploy CA DLP in a production environment.

To obtain a full license file

  1. Choose Tools, Install License File in the Administration console.

The Install License File dialog shows your installation code.

  2. Contact CA Support at http://ca.com/support and quote your installation code.

The license file that you receive uses this code to authenticate your CA DLP installation.

To install a full license file

  1. Log on to CA DLP using an account with the 'Admin: Install license file' administrative privilege.
  2. Choose Tools, Install License File in the administration console.
  3. Select your license file and click Install.

As soon as your CA DLP installation is authenticated, your fully licensed policy modules are unlocked and available to use.
