Integration Procedure for Message Manager
To integrate CA DLP with Message Manager
- Install the External Agent API and PE hub: First, you need to install the External Agent API and a policy engine hub on each Message Manager machine hosting a Mail Processor server. These components allowsexternal applications such as Message Manager to pass messages to CA DLP for policy processing.
To do this, run the CA DLP integration agent installation wizard. When you run the installation wizard, be aware that:
- You do need to install a Remote Policy Engine Connector (a type of policy engine hub).
- You do not need to install the Socket API.
- Install policy engines: We recommend that you install a policy engine on the same machines as the External Agent API (that is, on each Message Manager machine hosting a Mail Processor server).
To do this, run the CA DLP server installation wizard.
- Install the RDM: This allows CA DLP users to retrieve messages from the Message Manager archive and display them in the iConsole or Data Management console. The RDM uses the unique message identifier included in each event’s metadata to retrieve that message from the archive.
You can install the RDM on any CA DLP server. The architecture diagram in Autonomy Message Manager Integration shows the RDM installed on the CMS server. To install the RDM, run the CA DLP server installation wizard:
- In the Remote Data Manager Configuration wizard screen, select Message Manager from the archive list.
- In the same wizard screen, specify the name or IP address of the Message Manager machine hosting the Archive server.
