Bivio 2000

These diagrams show the front and back of a Bivio 2000 appliance.

Bivio 2000 ports

1 Application Processor Card (APC)

This card hosts additional APC CPUs. It typically occupies the upper slot.

2 Network Processor Card (NPC)

This card hosts the Network Processor, the administration CPU, and two APC CPUs. This card typically occupies the lower slot.

3 Management Port

You connect to this Ethernet port to manage NBA operations and when importing captured data onto the CMS.

4 Console Ports

These DB-9 ports are used when initializing the NBA. They are the Auxiliary port (4a) and the Console port (4b).

5 Bypass LEDs

Only the LEDs for port pair s0.e0 and s0.e1 are relevant to NBA operations. These LEDs show the state of the hardware bypass.

6 Power connectors

These are not referred to elsewhere in this guide.

7 Extension NBA connectors

These do not feature in the software installation instructions and are not referred to elsewhere in this guide.

8 Data Inspection Ports

You use these Ethernet ports to capture data on your corporate network.
