Connections Required for NBA Software Installation

To install the CA DLP NBA software package your NBA must be connected to a network (which provides access to the server containing the required NBA software package) using the NBA Ethernet management port.

If the current NBA management port network address configuration does not permit this connection then it must be reconfigured as follows:

• Connect the PC and NBA together via an Ethernet switch or hub and configure your PC IP address and netmask to appropriate settings compatible with the NBA management port settings.
• Use your web browser to connect to the NBA management port address.
  1. On Bivio 2000 appliances, log in as 'admin' and use the Administration screen.

     On Bivio 7000 appliances, log in as 'webadmin' and use the Interfaces screen.

  2. Change the IP address and netmask of the management port.

You perform the remaining instructions in this guide using the same serial connection as used to configure the OS. Alternatively, you can make a network connection with a PC terminal emulator connected to the NBA management port using an SSH connection.

If you don't already have a suitable application (capable of connecting using the SSH protocol) already installed on your PC, CA suggest the "PuTTY" application. This is available free of charge from:
