dbmgr -backup Function—Back Up a Database

The dbmgr ‑backup function creates an online backup of the CA ControlMinder database in the specified directory. This function is available whether the CA ControlMinder daemons are running or not.

This command has the following format:

dbmgr {‑backup|‑b} backup_directory
-backup|-b

Executes the database backup function of the dbmgr utility.

backup_directory

Defines the backup directory. This directory cannot be located on a remote machine; if the directory does not exist, the function creates it.
