For VAX 8830/8840 Systems

Perform the following on the host system for each 8830/8840 system that you will be monitoring

Enter the following command:
```
#  cm -c node-name
```
where node-name is the name of the serviced system. Any keystrokes entered are forwarded to the VAXconsole MicroVAX II system.
Press Enter to confirm that the communication path between the Console Manager host system and the VAXconsole MicroVAX II has been established successfully. The PS-HW-0> prompt is displayed.
Enter the following command to share the same OPA0 device with the VAXconsole local terminal:
```
PS-HW-0>  SET TERMINAL OPA0
```
Enter the following command to enter the VAXconsole remote port into program I/O mode:
```
PS-HW-0>  SET TERMINAL PROGRAM
```
Press CTRL_G to Enter to the Console Manager host system.

Now all of the console functions to control the VAX 8830/8840 series system from a Console Manager software user interface can be performed, (however, enter these commands at the VAXconsole MicroVAX II terminal keyboard):
