rlogin

  1. When the DECterm window appears, log on in the usual way.

The node name of the serviced system is appended to the end of the command before it is executed. The node name can be different from the system name defined in the configuration database. To specify the node names for your serviced systems, see Chapter 9, “Customizing Console Manager”.

The Login option uses the following logical names to determine the command that is to be executed:

You can change these logical names. For example, you could change CONSOLE$SETHOST_COMMAND to SET HOST/LOG.

To redefine these logical names copy the template file

SYS$STARTUP:CONSOLE$PRIVATE_SETUP.TEMPLATE

to

CONSOLE$PRIVATE_SETUP.COM

and edit it to reflect your individual requirements. The Console Manager startup procedure checks to see if

CONSOLE$PRIVATE_SETUP.COM

exists and executes it automatically.
