Unlocking a Console Being Used by Another User

Unlocking a console places the user currently connected to a console into read only mode. This means that this person cannot use Console Manager for managing the serviced system, or systems they are connected to.

You must have the UNLOCK privilege given to you in the configuration database to be able to unlock a console. Your Console Manager host system manager can give you this privilege if you do not already have it.

To unlock the console of a system being used by another user, enter:

$ CONSOLE MONITOR
command: UNLOCK system-name

To find out who has locked the console for a system, enter:

$ CONSOLE STATUS/USERS

Alternatively, if you are currently using the monitor interface, enter:

command: show systems
