Change the Behavior of the Terminal Device

You can change the behavior of the terminal device being used as the destination of the watch command through the use of command line switches. The following table describes them in detail.

Switch

Description

/ALL

Specifies that input from all the enabled systems will be output to the specified device or file.

/OUTPUT={filename | device}

Specifies the file or device to which the log data will be sent.

/SPEED=n1

Sets the speed of the terminal server between 300 and 9600 baud rate.

/PARITY=value

Sets the parity: ODD, EVEN, MARK, SPACE and NONE.

/EIGHTBIT

Sets the device to 8-bit ASCII text.

/PAGE

Controls the display of information on the screen.

/HOLD

Provides final message: End of requested output - Press Enter to exit

/WIDTH={80 | 132}

Sets the width for the device.
