Repairing Log and Archive Files

If verify reports any problems with the log or archive files for your serviced systems, you can repair the files. You must use the verify option when repairing the files.

To repair the files, enter:

$ CONSOLE VERIFY system-name /REPAIR

Caution! Before you can repair the log and archive files of your serviced systems, you must shut down the Console Manager software. This is to ensure that these files are not updated by Console Manager during the repair. You must use the verify command with the repair qualifier in order to repair the log and archive files. Therefore, you can produce a verification report and repair the files in the same operation. If you want a full report while repairing the files, then enter:

$ CONSOLE VERIFY system-name /REPAIR /FULL
