Archive Log Files

To archive log files from the C3 interface:

1. Pull down the Commands menu and choose the Archive... item from the Console Manager submenu.
2. Complete the information in the dialog box (see the following figure).

   Some examples are shown in the sections, Archiving the Oldest Data through Archiving Data Up to a Specified Time. If you want to delete the archived data as part of the archive process, then click Do not save archive data.

3. If you want to archive the data to a different directory, then change the Archive Directory field to the directory required.
4. When you have set up the archive parameters to the required values, click OK. The log files are archived as requested.

   

You cannot start an archive if another archive operation is already in progress. If you attempt to archive when another archive operation is already in progress, the following message is displayed:

Archive already in progress
