Stopping the Console Manager Software

To stop Console Manager on your host system from your operating system command line:

Log in to an account that has been granted the shutdown privilege in the configuration database, and enter:

$@SYS$STARTUP:CONSOLE$MANAGER$SHUTDOWN

The shutdown command shuts down Console Manager in an orderly manner:

• All current log files are closed.
• All Console Manager processes are halted, except for the ENS action routines. However, you can set up your action routines to respond to shutdown events.
• Historical log data remains available to the monitor and C3 interfaces.

If users are connected to the consoles of serviced systems when you shut down the Console Manager software, they will be disconnected from the console and be placed in the monitor interface.
