UNIT(option)

This option specifies the unit type to be used for a dynamic allocation request to backup a data set. Any valid unit name can be entered and CAIENF honors it for dynamic allocation requests. The default is TAPE.

Options are as follows:

UNIT(TAPE)

Backup data set is allocated to unit device type TAPE.

UNIT(3390)

Backup data set is allocated to unit device type 3390.

UNIT(SYSDA)

Backup data set is allocated to SYSDA.
