Monitoring Services Deployment

When the service provider administrator registers for monitoring services and they select the deployment method from the service offerings, the request goes through an automated workflow.

Deploying the appliances creates preconfigured virtual machines in your VMware ESX server. To deploy the monitoring service, use the OVF templates that are provided in each appliance. You can deploy the monitoring service using one of the following methods:

Automatic Deployment

Deploys the monitoring service automatically from CA CSDP, Deploy Monitoring Service-Central. The deployment is available if you have access to the VMware environment at your organization.

Note: This release of Monitoring Services supports only manual deployment.

Manual Deployment

Deploys the monitoring service manually by deploying and configuring the OVF templates using VMware vSphere Client. The deployment is required if you do not have access to the VMware environment at your organization.

Important! Do not re-deploy a service that is active.
