Guidelines for Changing the Visibility of Columns
You can change the visibility of informational columns by right-clicking the column header to access a context menu. The following guidelines apply for changing the visibility of a column:
- If a column is visible in the right pane, its name will have a checkmark in the context menu.
- To make a column visible, click its name in the context menu. A checkmark is added in front of the name and the column appears in the right pane.
- The checkmark toggles visibility. Click a name with a checkmark to make the column disappear from the right pane.
- If you select a tree node that has fewer than ten columns associated with it, you will see the names of the corresponding number of columns.
- The More command in the context menu is used to change the visibility of a block of columns or to rearrange them.
- Use the More command to display a full list of columns. Only the first twenty columns are visible in the context menu.
Note: Context menus for the nodes in the left pane tree view and in the right pane list view are specific to the Explorer GUI plug-ins and do not form part of the Explorer GUI help system. Also, all the items mentioned here apply only if the Details view is selected.
