The core component of the Non Resident Inventory solution is the new NRI agent. The agent knows the internal workings of the existing Client Automation inventory detection modules, and is able to convert their output to an Asset Collector recognized XML file.
The NRI agent is executed manually and is controlled from the command line or through a script file or a combination of both.
